Elena Delle Donne, WNBA Hall of Fame
Elena Delle Donne is a Wilmington-area native and one of the most accomplished athletes to come out of the CYM Sport's program. In 2003, Elena led her Ursuline Academy Varsity team with 27 points, claiming the Diocesan C Championship over St. John the Beloved.
Elena would go on to star at Ursuline Academy in high school, and later at the University of Delaware where she was the National Player of the Year. After college, she went on to become a WNBA champion and two-time league MVP with the Washington Mystics. Elena also earned Olympic Gold with Team USA.
Elena has since retired from professional basketball and was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Class of 2026. Elena can still be seen rooting on her niece in Wilmington at CYM Basketball games.
Donte DiVincenzo, NBA
Donte DiVincenzo competed with Corpus Christi in JV & Varsity Basketball from 2007-2011.
Donte would go on from Salesianum High School to star at Villanova University where he would lead the Wildcats to two NCAA National Championships.
Donte was selected 17th overall in the 2018 NBA Draft by the Milwaukee Bucks where he won an NBA Championship with the team in 2021.
Donte currently plays for Minnesota Timberwolves.
Joseph R. Biden Jr. --President of the United States
President Joseph Biden attended St. Helena's in Claymont, Delaware. The half-back and wide receiver participated in CYO Football, winning the CYO Parochial League Championship for St. Helena's in the mid-50s.
Biden was elected to the U.S. Senate and went on to serve 36 years in Washington before serving as the Vice-President of the United States from 2009-2017.
Biden became the 46th President of the United States, serving from 2021-2025.
Tyler Snook, Cpl./1
Tyler Snook competed in CYM Wrestling between 2002-2004 under Our Lady of Fatima.
Tyler would go on to St. Mark's High School and eventually Division 1 University of Maryland from 2011-2014.
Troy Reeder, NFL
Troy Reeder played for Holy Angels Parish, where he helped win the 2009 Diocesan D1 Championship over St. Elizabeth.
After CYM Football, he attended Salesianum School and went on to attend Penn State University and the University of Delaware.
In 2019, Troy signed with the Los Angeles Rams and helped the Rams in 2021 win the Vince Lombardi Trophy in Super Bowl LVI.
Troy would have additional stints with the NFL's Los Angeles Chargers and Minnesota Vikings, teaming up with former CYM alum Brian O'Neill in 2023.

Paul Worrilow, NFL
Paul Worrilow played for the CYM Bulldogs at St. Mary Magdalen Parish in the early 2000's.
Paul would go on to the University of Delaware and sign for Atlanta Falcons as an undrafted free agent in 2013. He would have stints in Detroit, Philadelphia, Batlimore, and New York (Jets).
Paul is currently coaching as the Defensive Quality Control Coach for the Cleveland Browns.
Brian O’Neill, NFL
Brian O’Neill played in CYM Football under St. Mary Magdalen. In 2009, Brian secured the Bullsdog's first D2 CYM Football Championship on a 45-yard touchdown reception, and kicking a two-point conversion kick. - He also played in CYM Basketball.
Brian would go on to be selected as 62nd overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft by the Minnesota Vokings. The offensive linesman is a 2x Pro Bowler.
Brian is the nephew of former CYO Wilmington Associate Director and former Governor, John Carney.

Khadijah Rushdan, WNBA
Khadijah is a Wilmington-area native and competed in CYM Girls Basketball in the early 2000s. In 2002, Khadijah led her St. Elizabeth Varsity team with 28 points, claiming the Diocesan C Championship over St. John the Beloved.
Khadijah would continue at St. Elizabeth High School and become a McDonald's All-American and committing to Division I Rutgers University. Khadijah was drafted 15th overall in the WNBA Draft to the Los Angeles Sparks in 2012.
Khadijah moved to the college coaching scene with stints at LaSalle, North Florida, and Marquette. In 2026, Khadijah was named the Head Women's Basketball Coach at Delaware State University.
